Virginia
We crossed into Virginia on the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway, and had a great time meandering along there. We spent close to two days exploring Richmond, which was the capital of the Confederate States of America (CSA - or the South) during the Civil War. Jefferson Davis, who was the President of the CSA during the war, lived in the White House here (a large, white house but not as big as the one in DC) with his family, and we had a good look inside it but unfortunately couldn't take pictures inside. We also spent a lot of time at the Museum of the Confederacy and the Civil War Museum...we were a little Civil War'd out by the time we finished!
